“The pool was clean, the staff(breakfast attendant , front desk and cleaning crew) was personable. The location is very convenient to the highway. Most restaurants were within a quick driving distance. It was quiet, there was a lot of slamming doors or noisiness late at night and the hotel was pretty booked. ”

“At age 77 & being a Baby Boomer, we like a Human checking us in ' not a Kieosk robot. And..he was a foreigner and it was hard to understand him!!!”

“It worked for a 6 hour stay just to get some sleep. A lamp didn’t work in my room, but honestly my biggest complaint was this automatic check in terminal. It felt unprofessional to not have a person there physically. Sure there was a person on the screen, but i couldn’t understand what she was saying due to the low volume and incredibly loud ice machine next to the kiosk. Not a horrible place to stay, especially just overnight. I’d stay there again, but the kiosk terminal just seemed...

“Staff that checked me in was fantastic! Personable, relatable and very professional. The front was under construction. I hope the rooms are next. Good bed, but room was old and musty. The room was surface clean, but I dropped a pen and moved a side table. Dust and dirt stacked up. I found a box cutter under the table! The side chair has stains on it. Good place if you just need a break from the road. ”

“One of the most comfortable beds I have slept in. My only complaint was the coffee was weak but then I like my coffee strong”

“Effingham is my typical stop when I travel for work. I used to stay at the LaQuinta across the street from this hotel, but it has really become ragged and worn down over the last two years. This hotel is much newer and their housekeeping team is doing a great job. Every time I stay here, my room is very clean, as is the lobby, parking lot, etc. The little details matter and they are on top of things. I appreciate that and will continue to be a regular customer.”

“This was a very cozy spot for our family to stay while we were regrettably in town for a funeral. It was very clean and comfortable and I would highly recommend it to anyone. ”

“I travel cross country and need a hotel with a full fridge. This is newly renovated. So it was in excellent condition and very clean. The only thing, the walls are thin. But it was cheap. It works for me. Clean and full fridge.”

“My wife and I went to the Lake for swimming and fishing. Although the room was not brand new it had everything we wanted. A big Jacuaai Tub / Large fridge / nice shower/ big TV and a comfortable bed. The fishing aand swimming were a walk away. The manager Rene was very helpful/ We will stay there again.”
